After selecting a payment method on the app, one step remains to be validated before charging can begin: pre-authorization or card imprint.
What does this mean?
It is a sum of money that your bank temporarily holds on behalf of INDIGO Neo.
This ensures that you have the necessary funds (or authorized overdraft) to purchase electric charging.
Although some banks show the transaction as a debit from your account, this is a pre-authorization for payment and not the payment itself.
If the transaction is still visible after your electric recharge, it will usually disappear after a few days or be offset by a credit transaction for the same amount (depending on the bank).
The time it takes for the bank to return the pre-authorization varies depending on the bank.
INDIGO Neo has no control over the pre-payment retained by the bank.
Why are two transactions visible on the account statement?
Only the exact amount of the charge will be debited, but it is likely that several transactions will be visible for several days: the €70 prepayment and the final payment.
If several attempts were necessary before the charge was processed, each attempt may require a pre-authorization (each for €70). As a result, several pre-authorizations may appear on the bank account.
(For information: the bank imprint is independent of the success of the charge that follows it).
